About Cash

My name is Cash (he/him/his) and I just successfully defended my dissertation in March in the pure mathematics program at North Carolina State University.  My main interests lie in algebraic statistics and applications of algebraic geometry and combinatorics, particularly in the area of structural identifiability.

I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for my undergraduate degree.  Currently, I serve as the Treasurer for the Mathematics Graduate Student Association, a member of the organizing committee of Undergrads Union Grads, a member of the organizing committee of the Graduate Alliance for Mental Health in Academia, and Co-President of the Graduate Instructional Support and Tools organization.  I also serve on the NCSU math department Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee.

In the fall of 2022, I will be starting as a tenure track assistant professor in the Department of Mathematics at California State University, Stanislaus!
